Las Vegas really is a city that never sleeps. There is a bustle of life on the two strips in town. There is a variety of food that is readily available at any hour of the day. There is a movie theater that offers reclining chairs for seating although the tickets are highly priced. Any type of live show or music concert you can think of is offered in this fast-paced city. It really is unlike anywhere I have ever been.
I am just not interested in it.
I like my house. I like my streaming movie choices. I like my alone time with my husband. My ideal Friday night is a glass of wine (preferably cheap because I don’t like spending massive amounts to get drunk), a freshly packed bowl of hookah/pack of cigarettes, and good conversation with my husband. I love curling up in our bed or snuggling under a crocheted blanket with my husband.
Sometimes, I feel like I was born in the wrong era. The culture that surrounds me is filled with lust, sex and partying. I feel like loyalty and faithfulness are dying traits in the new generation.
My house is my safe haven. It’s a place where I can disconnect from the stress of work and recover from an intensive gym workout. I love coming home to my husband. I love our routine.
I will leave the partying to the kids. I’ll be at home, curled up, watching Game of Thrones.
